The Lovelane Hoedown is an elevated fundraising benefit that unites Greater Boston’s philanthropic leaders for an unforgettable night in support of Lovelane Special Needs Horseback Riding Program. Reconnect with friends, host clients, enjoy cuisine from 15 of Boston’s top chefs, and celebrate with live music, dancing, and interactive fun. It is a high energy evening filled with purpose, community, and a few exciting surprises.
Debby Sabin founded Lovelane in 1988. After spending 31 years as ED, Program Director and Therapeutic Riding Instructor/ OT, she helped train and create a succession plan to assure Lovelane’s long term success. Debby has transitioned to the Founding Director of Lovelane, a Board Member, consultant, major donor relations and an instructor in the program. A certified Occupational Therapist (MS/OTR/L), Debby has been actively involved in the therapeutic riding community for over 35 years. She has hosted equestrian events in the Special Olympics and coached as a member of the International Special Olympics team. Debby has worked as a pediatric occupational therapist at the New England Rehabilitation Hospital and at the Concord Early Intervention Program. In addition to her work at Lovelane, she is also currently working as a therapist and consultant for pediatric and young adult disabled clients providing private, home based services. Debby is a MA licensed riding instructor, PATH Int’l registered therapeutic riding instructor and is proficient in sign language. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts and a Masters in Science from Boston University.
