The Lovelane Hoedown is an elevated fundraising benefit that unites Greater Boston’s philanthropic leaders for an unforgettable night in support of Lovelane Special Needs Horseback Riding Program. Reconnect with friends, host clients, enjoy cuisine from 15 of Boston’s top chefs, and celebrate with live music, dancing, and interactive fun. It is a high energy evening filled with purpose, community, and a few exciting surprises.
Lovelane’s horses are the cornerstone of our program! We take great care in selecting and training our equine partners for this important job. Our horses have diverse backgrounds – from jumping, to dressage, to trail riding – and all bring their patience, curiosity, and empathy to their work with our students each day.

We are committed to providing them with everything they need to stay healthy, sound, and happy. As a member center of PATH, International, we follow the Five Domains Model of animal welfare, assuring/assessing the well-being of each of our horses in each of the five domains, which include nutrition, physical environment, health, behavioral interactions, and overall mental state.
The work of a therapeutic horse is both mentally and physically challenging. It takes a very special horse to do this important job and to help ensure the safety of our Lovelane riders.
