2011 Splash, Mash, Dash to Benefit Lovelane! 05/17/11

This year’s Lincoln Kid’s Triathlon is being held on Saturday, June 25th at Codman Pool and Ballfield Road on the Lincoln Public Schools campus.  This terrific annual event will draw hundreds of kids from age 5 years up to challenge themselves to swim, bike and run in a mini-triathlon.

This event is only two weeks after the 2011 Susan McDaniel Run for Lovelane, so consider registering for both events and think how fit your whole family will be.

This year the proceeds from the Lincoln Splash, Mash & Dash will go to support the kids who ride at Lovelane.  We’re so grateful to the Splash, Mash & Dash committee for choosing us as the beneficiary of this wonderful event.  We encourage all of you youngsters to tune up your bikes, lace up your shoes and find that bathing suit so you can dive in and participate in the 2011 Splash, Mash & Dash!

To register online go to:

The committee is always looking for volunteers to make this event run smoothly.  If you have some time on the 25th and would like to help out, email Karen L. at kdclewis00@yahoo.com or Karen S at mkandks@comcast.net

Hoedown IV: A Magnificent Evening for a Great Cause 10/28/10

Over 650 friends and supporters came out to Broad Oak Farm on October 2nd for Hoedown IV.  They sampled wonderful South o’ the Border fare from some of Boston’s best chefs.  They danced to local favorite “French Lick” with a guest appearance by Shannon Allen on vocals.  WBZ’s David Wade MC’d the event and invited guests to raise their hands to support the program by sponsoring the care of a horse for a year.  They sure raised their hands!  Hoedown guests were extraordinarily generous and the children who ride in the program will benefit enormously from their support.  Finally, legendary Dixie-inflected California rock band, Little Feat, took the stage for the rest of the evening.  A special thanks to our major event sponsors: Kim & Jim Pallotta, Allyson & Ed DeNoble and Jim & Gail Radley.  We were also honored with sponsorships from Dogwatch, the Ford Family, and Jim and Diane Whalen.  Once again we are grateful to Jim & Joanne Halpin for inviting us to hold our party at their farm!  Start planning now and join us in fall of 2012 for Hoedown V.  For pictures and more information about Hoeodown IV go to  http://www.lovelane.org/events/hoedown-iv-2010-2/

We’re thrilled to announce that world class Triathlete, Karen Smyers will be presenting prizes to our race winners at the Run for Love this year.
