Our Facility
In 2004, following a three-year, $4 million capital campaign, Lovelane built a beautiful, state-of-the-art therapeutic riding facility on a 5-acre parcel of land in Lincoln, Massachusetts, a quaint, picturesque and historic town located about 15 miles outside of Boston. After 17 years of providing lessons in leased space, the building of its first permanent home was a huge milestone for Lovelane.
The facility is handicapped accessible and is designed exclusively/specifically to meet the needs of our students with special needs. The facility includes a huge 160’ X 72’ heated indoor riding ring; an 11,000 square foot outdoor riding arena; an indoor family viewing room; 12 stalls; 5 paddocks; access to miles of riding trails; a therapy room; and administrative offices.
The facility has greatly improved Lovelane’s ability to provide for students and their families. The heated indoor arena is especially crucial as it allows the program to run year-round, without having to cancel lessons due to inclement weather conditions. It also allows our special needs students to remain active during cold weather months when they might otherwise be limited to indoor activities. Our therapy/sensory riding trails, which abut Lincoln town conservation land, offer our students access to the woods and nature which might otherwise be unavailable to them, particularly those in wheelchairs.
